Requirements
Thermosynthase only appears in games with LAWK turned off in game settings.
If organelle unlocks are enabled in game settings, the following condition must be true for the player cell:
- Is in a patch with at least +50 °C Temperature .
Processes
Bacterial Thermosynthesis: Temperature → ATP
Generates energy passively from ambient environmental Temperature . Less efficient form of Thermosynthesis present in Thermoplasts.

Strategy
In its current form, Thermosynthase is essentially free energy. It has no real downside, providing you're content to remain in hot patches. Bacterial Thermosynthesis breaks even in patches with roughly +23 °C Temperature and is considerably more powerful in volcanic vents, which have +98 °C Temperature .
More efficient still is the Thermoplast, available once a cell evolves a Nucleus. Like all prokaryotic organelles with eukaryotic counterparts, we recommend replacing Thermosynthase with Thermoplasts when possible.
