Modified Vacuole which produces OxyToxy NT , an agent that can be fired as a toxic projectile. Superior version of the Oxytoxisome.
Requirements
A cell must have a Nucleus to evolve Toxin Vacuoles.
If organelle upgrades are enabled in game settings, both of the following conditions must be true for the player cell:
- Has engulfed at least 10 cells throughout the game so far.
- Contains at least 1 Oxytoxisome for at least 5 generations in a row.
Processes
OxyToxy Synthesis: ATP + Oxygen → OxyToxy NT
Produces OxyToxy NT , much more efficiently than Oxytoxisomes. Rate scales with the amount of environmental Oxygen .
Modifications
No modifications.
Effects
If a cell has at least one Oxytoxisome or Toxin Vacuole, it can shoot toxin projectiles, draining stored OxyToxy NT to do so. These projectiles damage cells of other species, but don't harm members of the species that fired them.
Damage scales with the amount of Oxytoxy NT fired.
Upgrades
No upgrades.
Strategy
Similar to that of the Oxytoxisome, though with more efficient Oxytoxy NT production and without the benefit of Glycolysis to produce metabolic compounds as well.
