To progress in Thrive, you need to evolve your species in editors and prevent extinction. To do so, you need to reproduce.
Reproduction in the Microbe Stage
To reproduce in the Microbe Stage, you must collect a certain number of reproduction compounds. Namely Ammonia and Phosphates . You absorb these compounds passively, at a rate dependent on your membrane.
Organelle multiplication
As your cell grows, some compounds will be set aside for reproduction. Once a certain amount of compounds has been reached, your organelles will start duplicating. The required amount of Ammonia and Phosphates is dependent on each organelle. Each organelle has a reproduction cost that determines how many compounds it needs to duplicate. Once all of your organelles have duplicated, you can reproduce and enter the editor.
