Hydrogen Sulfide (represented in-game using the symbol 
) is a compound that can be found in certain Biomes in the Microbe Stage. Microbes with the Chemosynthesizing Proteins or Chemoplast organelles can obtain and use hydrogen sulfide for Chemosynthesis.
Scientific Background
Hydrogen sulfide is a colorless, flammable gas known for its characteristic strong "rotten egg" smell. It has the chemical formula H2S. It is commonly found as a component of volcanic gases, and may also be produced by the anaerobic breakdown of organic matter by sulfate-reducing microbes. Some microbes also use hydrogen sulfide for chemosynthesis.
