Summary

Description
English: The colorful rainbow bands that make up white light get absorbed / attenuated by liquid water at different rates. This graph attempts to approximate how deep certain colors of light penetrate. According to this graph, blue light penetrates deepest, while ultraviolet, red and infrared are rapidly absorbed near the surface.
