Content Sharing

Thrive, although inspired by Spore, will not work in the same way that Spore did. Since it is a not-for-profit project with no budget, it cannot handle any sort of server to computer sharing system. If players of our game want to download new content for their games, they will have to do it manually, much in the same way that players of The Sims have been doing extremely successfully for years now. The Thrive Team will periodically send out new creations in updates or bug fixes. However, the players can also snoop around themselves to find creations in the official fan forums, or on fan-sites. However, the content reviewed by the team will probably be of the best overall quality and pose the smallest risk to the player, as people will undoubtedly try to use others' enthusiasm to spread malicious software.
All content in the game will be managed through the Thrive Content Library, a collection of all saved content in the game, which players can search through using the many different tags that the game uses, as well as search by creator name, date created.
